Bockarie Family Home Care LLC is a family-owned agency based in Philadelphia. We provide non-medical home care across Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks and Chester counties — for seniors, for adults and adolescents living with mental health conditions, and for children with disabilities.
We know what it is to sit at a kitchen table and try to work out how a parent is going to manage. Who checks in on Tuesday. Whether the stove got left on. Whether the person coming to the house will treat your mother the way you would. That worry is the reason this agency exists.

Our caregivers are screened, insured, trained and supervised by us. Every client gets a written care plan, a primary caregiver they actually meet beforehand, and a coordinator who answers the phone. When something changes, you hear it from us first.

A care coordinator — not a call center — picks up. We ask what a normal day looks like right now, what has gotten harder, and what you are worried about.

Free in-home assessment
We come to the house, meet everyone, and walk through it together — steps, bathroom, kitchen, medications, sleep. You get a written care plan and an exact hourly cost. Still no obligation.

Meet your caregiver
We match on need, schedule, temperament and language, then introduce you before the first shift. If the fit isn't right, you tell us and we bring someone else. That is expected, not a complaint.

Care begins — and we keep checking
Your caregiver logs notes after each visit. A supervisor checks in during the first week, then regularly after that. Schedules, hours and the care plan can change whenever life does.

Payment & insurance
How families pay for care — in plain language.
We currently accept two ways of paying for care, and some families combine them. We will walk you through both, and give you the cost in writing, before you commit to anything.
Most common
Private pay
You pay us directly, by the hour, with no insurer involved. Simplest to start and the easiest to change.

Insurance
Long-term care insurance
A policy bought years ago may cover much of the cost of non-medical home care. Many families forget they hold one.

- We can bill the carrier directly where the policy allows
A note on Medicare. Medicare does not pay for ongoing non-medical home care — help with bathing, meals, companionship or housekeeping. It covers short-term skilled nursing and therapy, usually after a hospital stay, which is a different service. Any agency that tells you otherwise is worth a second look.
